Thandu Keerai Kootu / Amaranth leaves with Lentils

0

Thandu keerai with tender stems is the most favourite spinach of my family. I prefer to make this on Sundays since this Kootu  tastes delicious when had with fresh steaming boiled rice. Sautéed pepper, chillies and cumins with coconut give wonderful flavour to this side dish. This is a traditional kootu recipe made without onion and garlic. ..

A kootu made with roasted dal powders, which makes your

cooking simple and mess free on hectic days without grinding.

Make this powder in bulk during weekends. This Chow Chow

are added. It retains the same taste as the kootu made with coconut

and can be had with vathakuzhambu rice or sambhar rice or Rotis.
